PADI Advanced Open Water in Komodo – An Experience of a Lifetime

padi advanced course komodo

A PADI Advanced Open Water Course is an excellent way to improve your diving skills and explore new types of diving – it’s exciting, and there are numerous excellent dives to choose from. You can drift dive over coral reefs, dive at night, or even dive at one of the most spectacular dive sites in the world: Batu Bolong! There are dozens of types of diving you can do. Komodo is one of the few places on earth that gives you access to such a wide variety of sites. The most skilled instructors are also attracted to Komodo – this is one of the reasons why so many professional divers want to work there!

Our drift dives take place at Manta Point, Cauldron, or even Siaba Kecil, where you can feel the sensation of drift diving for yourself. We talk about Fish Identification, but did you know that in Komodo there are over a thousand species of coral reefs and fishes?

If you’re taking the PADI Advanced Open Water Course in Komodo, here are some of the

amazing dive sites you could visit: Batu Bolong, Pengah, Siaba Kecil, The North and Police Corner

Not Just a Standard Advanced Open Water Course

Dragon Dive Komodo offers more than just PADI’s standard adventure dives; it is one of the few dive centres on Komodo where you can also enrol in some specialist courses that are not widely available, such as Sidemount Diving, EanX (nitrox), Underwater digital imaging with a Professional Camera, Shark Awareness, and Dive Against Debris.

How Much Studying Is Involved?

After taking the PADI Open Water Course recently, you may still be thinking about how much studying you had to do. Taking the Open Water Course means you are learning how to dive from scratch, so there is much to learn.

You are simply developing your existing skills and learning to apply them differently when you take your PADI Advanced Open Water Course in Komodo. Thus, less studying is required!

All chapters are now ONLINE.

Only five of them need to be read on your mobile device, one for each dive of the Advanced Course. However, real learning comes from actual diving. Diving is the main focus of the program, which is a practical one.

Which Dives Can I Choose?
