What is Dragon Dive Komodo?
A PADI 5-Star IDC Dive Resort on Jalan Mutiara in Labuan Bajo, founded in 2016 by William Baillet — a francophone PADI Course Director who still leads the center today. Diving, training, accommodation and liveaboard cruises are run under one roof, on the waterfront, five minutes from Komodo Airport.

A complete dive resort, not just a dive shop
Everything a diver needs sits within the same waterfront compound in Kampung Ujung.
Resort and restaurant
19 private ensuite rooms and three six-bed dormitories, a swimming pool, camera room, equipment storage and the on-site restaurant Le Resto Komodo.
Private training pool
Confined-water sessions happen in the resort's own pool before any open-water dive — beginners build confidence in calm, controlled conditions first.
Multilingual professionals
The team works in English, French and Indonesian, with German and Spanish available seasonally, subject to availability. Professional training is led by the founder himself.
Daily dive trips into Komodo National Park
Komodo National Park spans over 1,700 square kilometres of protected marine habitat with more than 40 named dive sites, from gentle coral gardens to current-swept pinnacles. Trips depart every morning aboard custom-built wooden dive boats, in small groups of maximum 4 divers per guide — 5 at the very most, depending on site and conditions.

PADI courses from beginner to Instructor
Dragon Dive Komodo is one of the few dive centers in Labuan Bajo where professional training is led by the owner himself: founder William Baillet, resident PADI Course Director, who earned the PADI Platinum Course Director rating in 2026. Every level from Discover Scuba Diving to the Instructor Development Course is taught in-house — no waiting for visiting instructors.

Sleep where you dive
Five Dive and Stay packages combine hotel-style rooms with daily dive trips — from a three-day introduction to a seven-day programme covering the breadth of Komodo's sites.
Four boats, one liveaboard
Each vessel has its own role — comfortable daily diving, training-focused trips, fast private departures and multi-day expeditions.
Shiryu
A comfortable wooden dive boat for daily diving and snorkeling trips — maximum 14 divers onboard.
Smaug
A newer addition designed for daily diving and courses — maximum 16 divers onboard.
Spyro
Our brand-new speedboat for private half-day trips — maximum 6 divers, always two guides, Batu Bolong in around 30 minutes.
And for multi-day expeditions: the boutique Shenron liveaboard — 8 guests in 4 private air-conditioned ensuite cabins, up to 10 with two individual dorm berths on selected departures.
Where to find us in Labuan Bajo
On the waterfront in Kampung Ujung, a five-minute drive from Komodo Airport (LBJ), close to the harbour, restaurants and ferry terminal. Airport transfers can be arranged at booking.
