The EFR Course Details
Emergency First Response (EFR) is a practical first aid and CPR course designed to help you recognize emergencies, react calmly, and provide immediate care until professional help takes over.
The training combines knowledge development, hands-on skills practice, and realistic scenarios. Rather than just memorizing theory, you will train step by step so that your response becomes more confident and natural.
At Dragon Dive Komodo, EFR training takes place in a comfortable learning environment with coaching focused on clarity, repetition, and real-world usefulness.
Prerequisites
- No previous dive certification required
- Suitable for divers and non-divers
- Recommended for Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and future professional candidates
- You should be comfortable taking part in hands-on CPR and first aid practice
- If you plan to continue to Rescue Diver, your EFR (or equivalent) must be current within the last 24 months
Important Note
EFR is a dry practical course. It focuses on CPR, first aid, scene management, and emergency response — not on pool or ocean training. If you want the full in-water emergency training path, the next step is the PADI Rescue Diver course.
