Practical Assessment #1
Use an oxygen analyzer to check the oxygen content of your Nitrox tank and learn how to verify cylinder content and sign the fill log.
Practical Assessment #2
Obtain and analyze enriched air from a fill station. Complete 3 enriched air dives:
- Dives 1 & 2: Pre-dive planning and dive computer use. Perform a safety stop at 5m / 15ft.
- Dive 3: Your first Nitrox dive with your instructor.
Learn all theory online before diving. Topics include:
- The benefits of diving with Nitrox
- Recommended equipment and cylinder marking
- Planning dives using a dive computer
- Oxygen exposure limits and safety
- Signs of oxygen toxicity
- Open Water Diver certification required
- Recent diving experience (refresher advised if not dived in 12 months)
- Minimum age: 12 years old
- Medically fit to dive
