Crystal Rock Dive Site — Komodo National Park

Crystal Rock is a submerged pinnacle in North Komodo National Park, near Gili Lawa Laut. Named for the exceptional clarity of its water — visibility regularly exceeds 30 metres — it combines vibrant soft coral gardens, reef sharks, and passing pelagics into one of the most photogenic dives in the park.

Advanced dive: strong currents are common. Negative entries and solid drift diving experience are highly recommended.

A crystal-clear pinnacle

Crystal Rock is a large pinnacle that just breaks the surface at low tide. Topographically, it resembles an underwater mountain: steep slopes plunge into the depths, and a central saddle connects two peaks. The strong currents sweeping the site carry nutrient-rich water and concentrate remarkable marine life.
