EFR Course in Komodo

Time to learn how to Take care

Emergency first response course:
Primary & Secondary care

Emergency First Response (EFR) is the certifying organization for our courses in Primary and Secondary Care, Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), and Emergency Oxygen Administration.

Emergency situations will be covered in this course. Primary Care (CPR and rescue breathing) and Secondary Care (First Aid) certifications are reassuring and valuable, not just for diving, but also for everyday life. In this course, you will learn how to respond to emergencies involving adults, children, and babies.

Divers who complete EFR training will meet the prerequisites for the PADI Emergency First Response course and become PADI DiveMasters.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

The program is divided into three parts, TheoryPractical Training and Scenarios.

Each module will include a debriefing and practical training with your instructor. You’ll learn how to react to more complex situations step by step to prevent yourself from being hurt or injuring yourself further.

Primary Care (CPR)

The course teaches you how to handle life-threatening emergencies. During the training, you’ll practice eight skills for helping patients who aren’t breathing, don’t have any heartbeat, may have a spinal injury, may be in shock, or may have serious bleeding. As you wait for emergency medical services to arrive, you will learn how to perform CPR and monitor the patient.

Secondary Care (First Aid)

This course teaches you how to provide first aid that eases pain and reduces the risk of further harm when emergency medical services are delayed or unavailable. A variety of injuries and illnesses will be assessed, and bandaging and splinting will be practiced.

Care for Children

Participants in this course will learn, practice, and apply emergency care skills specific to helping infants and children in medical emergencies. It is designed for those who work with children or who might need to respond to emergencies involving children. CPR and First Aid courses are often integrated with this course.

CPR & AED

AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and CPR training are the main topics covered in this course. The CPR & AED course can be taken when the workplace or government requirements specify this training. As part of First Aid at Work programs, this course is often included.
