TERMS AND CONDITIONS

All prices stipulated in this document are in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR).

 RESERVATIONS, PAYMENTS, SINGLE TRAVELERS & SINGLE SUPPLEMENT

All rates are quoted on a shared basis; the price is per person. If you book as a party of 2, you will be guaranteed that the room will be reserved for your party of 2 people only.

If you are booking as a single traveler, you may be roomed with another person of the same gender, depending on availability.

If you would like a guaranteed private cabin for 1 person, there is a 100% surcharge on top of the listed price for single occupancy.

Payment Options

– A 30% deposit is required at the time of your reservation.

– Final payment is due 90 days before the date of Shenron Liveaboard cruise departure.

– If payments are not made in the periods required, Shenron Liveaboard reserves the right to refuse the services contracted, retain the money paid as a deposit, and resell the excursion.

In the case where a reservation is made less than 90 days before the departure date, the total price must be paid at the time of reservation. All deposits and full balance payments are non-refundable.

All prices given by our booking office or an agent are meant as net prices, respectively when money is wired via bank transfer. Other payment methods such as credit cards and other payment gateways will be liable to an additional charge as stated by the reservation officer at the time of booking. Please note all payments should be received by Shenron Liveaboard net of service and provider charges; please ensure you select payment of all charges when completing your wire transfer.

A passenger or third party who makes a reservation for other participants must ensure the obligations of their traveling parties (specifically with respect to payment) as with their own individual obligations. The contractual obligations and general conditions are applicable to all the traveling parties.

If you are making a reservation through our booking office, please discuss your method of payment with your advisor. Please discuss with the customer service department regarding payment options. We can accept bank transfers within Indonesia. If you are booking via an agent, your payment method and all further inquiries regarding your charter are through them.

Each guest must have completed the ‘Shenron Liveaboard Booking Form, read, understood, and signed our ‘Terms & Conditions,’ where applicable a signed medical statement from your doctor confirming you are fit to dive before arriving on the vessel for the charter.

  • IDR, Euro, and USD currency is accepted for onboard payments. Currency exchange rates are calculated on the date of payment. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept bank notes of smaller denominations, old, worn, damaged, or torn notes of any denomination.
  • We can accept 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, or 100,000 denominations. Payments onboard by card incur a 3% charge.
  • Children are accepted aboard Shenron Liveaboard from the age of 12 years old during scheduled open charters. However, this rule is flexible upon reserving a full boat charter or prior communication with Shenron Liveaboard management. During the cruise, we remind you that children remain the TOTAL responsibility of their parents and/or legal guardians. Parents are required to ensure that the children respect all safety procedures, listen to all safety briefings, and do not disturb the peace and quiet of the other passengers or the effective management of the cruise.

 FULL AND HALF BOAT CHARTER

It is possible to charter the boat. In this particular case, the conditions and price are determined on the basis of a special group offer. The maximum number of passengers is 8 (2 passengers per cabin). These trips cannot be canceled once the deposit is paid, as the deposit is your commitment to complete the booking and payments relating to it.

For full/half boat charters, we require a 30% deposit to secure the booking; the remainder must be paid 90 days prior to departure. In cases where bookings are made less than 90 days in advance, 100% of the booking is required, and this is non-refundable.

It is possible to charter Shenron Liveaboard for specific destinations and itineraries, outside of our normal scheduled program, under the following conditions:

– A non-refundable deposit of 30% is made at the time of your reservation.

– 90 days before the charter the balance must be paid in full. In case of cancellation, no refund will be given.

– The additional costs due to a specific relocation of the vessel are added to the cost of the charter. This will depend on the normal program location of the vessel both before and after the reserved charter. The price of the relocation will be communicated to the client before the deposit is paid. All quoted relocation costs must be paid at the time of the deposit and are subject to bookings and availability.

 CANCELLATIONS AND ALTERATIONS

If for any particular reason a passenger cannot travel for the voyage reserved, the reservation may be transferred to another person. Shenron Liveaboard must be informed as soon as possible and with a minimum of 2 weeks’ notice before the scheduled date, including the reason, and all information about the replacement passenger provided. An administration fee will be applied.

The replacement passenger must respect all conditions of the contract and Shenron Liveaboard cannot in any way be held responsible for any expenses or changes outside of the cruise (Hotels, flights, etc.). A new contract will be established with the replacing customer in the shortest timeframe possible. All conditions of the contract must be respected including passport validity, dive certification (unless non-diver), medical certificate, etc. All documents need to be signed and the balance of the cruise paid.

 CANCELLATION BY SHENRON LIVEABOARD

Client Behavior

To preserve the serenity and safety of the vessel, its customers, and its staff, Shenron Liveaboard reserves the right to cancel any reservation prior to the departure of the scheduled trip, if inappropriate action or indelicate behavior of any guests justifies it. In this case, Shenron Liveaboard will not reimburse any of the amounts already paid. All complaints against Shenron Liveaboard will be exclusively contested in a court of law in Indonesia.

Unforeseen events, force majeure, or other similar reasons

Shenron Liveaboard reserves the right to modify, interrupt, or cancel a charter when unforeseen events are imposed on the company or when the security of the traveling clients may be compromised. These may include but are not limited to: refusal or cancellation of navigation rights, flight landing rights, strikes, civil or international war, political or economic disturbances, terrorist threats or activity, fire, climatic, seismic, or volcanic events endangering the safety of our passengers, crew, and the vessel. In any case, you will be informed by Shenron Liveaboard/your agent as soon as possible. In these particular cases, the customer may not apply for reimbursement from Shenron Liveaboard.

Customers who have foreseen travel insurance taking these unforeseen events into consideration may request reimbursement directly from their respective insurance company. In case of technical damage occurred aboard Shenron Liveaboard, preventing the departure of the cruise, Shenron Liveaboard will either:

– Provide you with an equivalent service on a similar type of boat.

– Postpone the trip without added Shenron Liveaboard service fees at a later date.

 COMPENSATION

Shenron Liveaboard assumes no responsibility, and/or offers no compensation for injury, death, or damage that occurred to passengers, or damage or loss to passengers’ property during the cruise that does not directly involve its staff.

 INCLUSIONS / EXCLUSIONS

Included in the trip price:

– VAT

– Onboard accommodation, 3x meals, snacks, coffee, tea, and drinking water

– Return transfers from/to designated airport to/from the boat on embarkation/disembarkation days

– Certified Dive master / Instructors, full dive tanks, weights, weight belts

– Diving, beach visits, canoe, kayak, stand up paddleboard

– Cabin and diving towels, bath amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner)

Excluded in the trip price:

– Flights (and related admin fee in case of rescheduling), land transportation, accommodation, and meals pre and post cruise

– Soft Drinks, beer, wine, spirits, laundry, massage, merchandise

– Gear and wetsuits rental

– Use of satellite phone

– Personal and medical insurance

– Visa and related fees

– Port and Park Fees (IDR 300,000/day)

– Nitrox (IDR 200,000/day) for up to 4 tanks per day

– Equipment Rental (IDR 300,000/day) excluding torch

– 15L tank (IDR 150,000/day) for up to 4 tanks per day

– Land excursions if applicable

– Fuel surcharges (may fluctuate with markets, you may be asked to pay an extra fuel allowance up to 30 days prior to departure, of no more than IDR 200,000 per person per day)

– Staff gratuities, many of our guests base their tips between 5% and 10% of the cost of the trip. Tipping is optional but greatly appreciated!

– Shenron Liveaboard Merchandise

 ITINERARY

We strongly recommend that guests arrive at least one day prior to the charter start date. Guests are also encouraged to book any return international flights at least 24 hours after the time of departure from Shenron Liveaboard, thus allowing the body enough time to fully gas off, to enjoy  a relaxing trip back home, and time in case of unforeseeable circumstances. While we strive to meet all of our guests’ expectations, itineraries may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

For reasons of weather conditions or safety, your dive itinerary and the number of dives may vary. While we strive to maximize the number of dives, the safety of our guests is our primary concern. Shenron Liveaboard and its staff will not be held responsible for any alterations and/or cancellations to the schedule and/or dive itinerary due to circumstances beyond our control.

In the event of unexpected mechanical problems, we will do everything possible to rectify the situation in a timely manner and assure our guests are comfortable.

PASSPORTS, DOCUMENTATION, CERTIFICATION

Passports & Documentation

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your period of travel and have at least 2 empty pages. You are required to have a return ticket outbound from Indonesia before entering the country. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the proper documentation to travel into each country on their itinerary, as well as for re-entry and return to their home country. This includes but is not limited to COVID-19 related documentation required by the Indonesian government and your own country. Always check your passport and visa requirements with the appropriate consulate.

Certification

To participate in any scuba diving activities with Shenron Liveaboard, you must hold a valid certification from a recognized scuba diving agency such as SSI, CMAS, BSAC, PADI, or similar. Certified divers are responsible for adhering to the guidelines provided by Shenron Liveaboard’s guides and instructors and following the regulations stipulated by their certification agency.
You must provide a diving medical statement or physician’s medical clearance dated within the last 12 months and your certification card. Failure to present these documents or ignoring directions may result in limitation or disqualification from scuba diving activities. Divers must be technically capable of participating in scuba diving and accept the associated risks. For safety reasons, Shenron Liveaboard reserves the right to refuse access to dives if a diver does not have the necessary competence.

Diving Experience Requirements

All divers must be either Advanced Open Water certified with at least 20 logged dives or Open Water certified with at least 40 logged dives and have dived within the past 5 years. A mandatory refresher dive is included in the cost of the trip for anyone who hasn’t dived in the past year.

Environmental Protection

Shenron Liveaboard is committed to protecting and conserving marine environments. Guests are required to:

  • Not harass marine life, such as chasing animals or touching corals.
  • Be conscious of fin placement when swimming near coral.
  • Utilize reef-safe sunscreen.
  • Not deliberately break coral or take anything found underwater.
  • Be environmentally and socially conscious when taking underwater photos/videos.

Deliberate damage to the marine environment will result in exclusion from in-water activities for the rest of the trip, and the case will be reported to the marine park authorities. Shenron Liveaboard holds no responsibility for malicious damage caused by guests.

MEDICAL AND HEALTH

Shenron Liveaboard and its staff cannot provide medical advice or supply prescription drugs as per Indonesian law. Consult your general practitioner about medical matters or physical fitness for the itinerary before scuba diving and similar activities.

Physical Fitness

Guests must be physically fit to enjoy the activities offered, which can be physically demanding. Activities include hiking and diving. Discomfort from physical unfitness is not grounds for complaint or refund. A complete physical examination is recommended before your trip. Inform the booking agent of any health problems, medications, or past illnesses/injuries. Failure to disclose such information may result in inability to dive and invalidate your insurance.

Dietary Requirements

Notify us of any dietary requirements, including vegetarian/vegan diets, food intolerances, or allergies, at least 60 days before the trip. If not informed in advance, it may be difficult to meet such requirements.

Medical Conditions

Guests with specific medical conditions (e.g., asthma, thyroid disease, hypertension, depression) must provide a recent medical statement from a doctor. Pregnant women and individuals with severe allergies are advised against scuba diving activities.

Medication Storage

Shenron Liveaboard cannot accept responsibility for the proper care and storage of medication. Guests must travel with a travel cooling case or small storage cooler for temperature-controlled medication.


INSURANCE

Travel insurance is compulsory for all guests. It should cover accidents, medical assistance, baggage, trip cancellation, personal liability, and effects. Both travel insurance and scuba diving insurance, including medical evacuation, are mandatory. Provide a copy of your insurance policy at least 24 hours prior to departure.

Recommended Insurance

We recommend insurance from Divers Alert Network (DAN). Special DAN packages are available, and our customer service team can assist with obtaining this insurance before your trip.


LIABILITY

Shenron Liveaboard assumes no responsibility for delays, missed connections, or changes in itinerary due to weather, natural disasters, mechanical failures, or political instability. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Shenron Liveaboard is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.


PHOTO & VIDEO

Shenron Liveaboard reserves the right to use photos and videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes. Inform the crew if you do not wish to be included in promotional material.
