Why do I need a refresher course?

PADI standards recommend a refresher if you haven't dived in over 6-12 months. Komodo's currents require good buoyancy and confidence, so a review is essential for your safety and enjoyment.

What skills will we practice?

We will review the most important safety and comfort skills: equipment setup, buoyancy control (hovering), mask clearing, regulator recovery, and air sharing procedures.

What's the difference between the Pool and Ocean Refresher?

The Pool Refresher (Scuba Review) is more thorough, giving you ample time in our calm pool to practice all skills without pressure. The Ocean Refresher is a quicker review done in a shallow, calm bay on your first dive, ideal if you're still confident but just need a quick check.

Is equipment included?

Yes, all dive gear (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins, tanks, weights) is included in the price.

Are park fees included?

No. Komodo National Park fees (approx. 285,000 IDR/day) and Clearance Fees (25,000 IDR/day) are excluded and must be paid on board in cash (IDR).

What to Expect from Your Refresher

Are you a certified diver but haven't been in the water for 6 months or more? The PADI Scuba Review (or "Refresher") is designed to get you comfortable and confident again before you head out to Komodo's famous sites.

Practice in Our On-site Pool

Our resort features a dedicated training pool, allowing you to practice in a calm, controlled environment before heading to the ocean.

Your Refresher: Choose Your Option

Option 1: Scuba Review (Pool + 3 Dives)

The most comprehensive option. Perfect if you haven't dived in over a year or feel nervous.

Day 1 (Afternoon): Meet your instructor for a knowledge review & full skills circuit in our pool.

Day 2 (Full Day): Join the boat for 3 guided fun dives in Komodo National Park, applying your skills in the ocean.

Option 2: Ocean Refresher (3 Dives)

Confident but just need a quick check? We can do the skills review on the boat.

Day 1 (Full Day): Join the boat for 3 dives.

Dive 1: Your instructor will take you to a shallow, sandy area to review core skills (mask, regulator, buoyancy) before continuing the dive.

Dives 2 & 3: Enjoy two more fun dives with your confidence fully restored!
