Our Commitment to a Cleaner Komodo

At Dragon Dive Komodo, we actively contribute to preserving the beauty of our local environment through regular participation in Trash Hero cleanups, beach cleanings, and efforts to reduce our daily environmental impact.
From our hotel operations to our dive boats, we prioritize sustainable practices—whether it’s reducing single-use plastics, managing waste responsibly, or ensuring our activities leave no trace.
Every step we take is a commitment to protecting the marine environment and fostering a cleaner, more sustainable Komodo for future generations. Join us in making a difference!

At Dragon Dive Komodo, we are proud to support the Reef Protection Center in their mission to protect Komodo’s unique marine ecosystems. Our ongoing partnership focuses on preserving the island’s biodiversity and actively participating in species reintroduction efforts, such as bringing back the Giant Clams, which have disappeared from the park.
Through conservation projects, education, and hands-on involvement, we contribute to restoring and safeguarding the reef’s natural balance and ensuring a thriving marine environment for future generations.

With Kit, our dedicated marine biologist partner, we actively collaborate with PhD students in marine biology, providing them with the opportunity to engage in fieldwork within Komodo National Park. These students participate in a range of conservation activities, including reef transects, data analysis, and comprehensive reef surveys. Their work is crucial for collecting valuable data on coral diversity and benthic coverage across various dive sites. By combining their research efforts with our hands-on conservation work, we support detailed scientific studies that contribute to a deeper understanding of the reef’s health.

Collaborating with leading universities, we ensure that students gain practical experience while producing meaningful insights into the marine ecosystem, guiding conservation decisions and promoting sustainable practices to preserve Komodo’s rich biodiversity.
