Terms and Conditions (Last update: July 2025)

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • All bookings must be requested and confirmed exclusively in writing via email at shenron@dragondivekomodo.com.
  • A booking is considered confirmed only after receiving a written confirmation and full payment/deposit according to these terms.
  • By booking, each guest acknowledges reading and fully accepting these Terms and Conditions.

2. Payment Terms

  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total trip price is required upon booking. No exceptions or credits for any reason.
  • Balance: The remaining 75% must be paid in full at least 30 days before departure.
  • Any late, incomplete, or missing payment will result in the automatic cancellation of the booking, with loss of all paid sums.
  • All payments must be made in the currency and to the bank account/instructions indicated on your invoice.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • All deposits are strictly non-refundable, whatever the reason (illness, visa, flight, force majeure, pandemic, etc.).
  • If cancellation is notified more than 30 days before departure, 25% deposit is retained.
  • If cancellation is notified 30 days or less before departure, 100% of the total trip price is retained (no refund).
  • No refund is given for late arrival, early departure, missed activities, or unused services.
  • Changes to bookings are subject to approval and possible extra fees. No changes within 30 days of departure.

4. Certification & Experience Requirements

  • All divers must provide proof of at least Advanced Open Water + Nitrox certification (or equivalent) at check-in.
  • Guests without required certifications must complete training before or during the trip (fees apply). If not completed, no diving allowed and no refund.
  • A refresher dive or skills check may be required at the discretion of our guides or cruise director.

5. Komodo National Park Fees

  • Park fees are compulsory and payable on site in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) cash only.
  • Indicative rate: approx. 285,000 IDR per diving day per diver (subject to change by authorities without notice).
    Padar fees are 150.000 Rp per pax + 25.000 Rp Ranger fees
    Komodo Island fees are 80.000 Rp per pax + 50.000 Rp Ranger Fees
  • Park fees are entirely independent from Shenron Liveaboard and cannot be prepaid.

6. Included & Excluded Services

  • INCLUDED: Cabin accommodation (double occupancy), 3 meals/day + snacks, water, tea/coffee, up to 3 dives/day, certified Nitrox fills (for Nitrox certified divers), weights, guide, towels, and bedding.
  • NOT INCLUDED: Standard dive equipment (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, fins, mask, snorkel, computer): 30 USD per person per day.
  • 15L tank: 70,000 IDR/day; 5mm wetsuit: 100,000 IDR/trip; special requests on quotation.
  • Alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, park fees, crew gratuity, insurance, airfare, personal expenses.

7. Nitrox Policy

  • Nitrox 32% is included free of charge for all guests holding a valid EANx/Nitrox certification. No refund or compensation for unused Nitrox.

8. Crew Gratuity (Mandatory)

  • A minimum gratuity of 100 EUR per guest per trip is mandatory and must be given directly to the crew at the end of the cruise (cash only).
  • Gratuities are not included in the trip price and are distributed equally among all crew members.

9. Non-Diver Policy & Children

  • Children under 15 are not allowed onboard.
  • A non-diver sharing a cabin with a paying diver receives a 35% discount on the trip price.
  • If a non-diver travels alone (not sharing with a diver), no discount applies.
  • Non-divers may not request a refund for unused dives or diving equipment.

10. Insurance (Mandatory)

  • All guests must have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation and diving accidents. Proof of insurance may be requested at any time before or during the trip.
  • No guest is allowed to dive without valid insurance. Failure to provide insurance results in denied boarding without refund.
  • We recommend adding cancellation/interruption insurance for your own security.

11. Health, Safety & Medical Requirements

  • Guests are solely responsible for ensuring their medical and physical fitness for diving and liveaboard travel.
  • A recent medical certificate may be required. Refusal or inability to provide requested documents results in denied boarding or diving, without refund.
  • All guests must follow safety briefings and instructions from the Cruise Director and crew. Failure to comply can lead to exclusion without refund.
  • Abusive, dangerous, or disruptive behavior (towards staff, guests, guides, environment) is strictly prohibited and results in immediate removal from the vessel at your expense, without refund.

12. Arrival, Departure & Delays

  • All guests must arrive at the departure point (Labuan Bajo/Alor) the day before departure.
  • Boarding time is 8:00AM (Komodo) and the boat departs strictly at 9:00AM. Late arrivals for any reason (including flight delay) will not be reimbursed and will be considered as cancellation/no show.
  • Transfers to/from meeting points are not included except when otherwise specified in your booking.
  • Disembarkation is scheduled for the afternoon of the last day. Plan onward travel accordingly.

13. Force Majeure & Trip Interruption

  • We are not liable for delays, interruptions or cancellation due to circumstances beyond our control: weather, natural disaster, pandemic, strikes, political events, vessel breakdown, etc.
  • In the unlikely event of major mechanical breakdown during the trip, our responsibility is limited to offering alternative arrangements (voucher, alternate activities, or accommodation of similar value). No cash refund will be provided.

14. Environmental & Diving Conduct

  • All guests must respect the marine environment. Touching coral, disturbing wildlife, or negligent behavior is strictly forbidden and may result in exclusion from diving activities without refund.
  • Following crew instructions and established dive plans is mandatory for safety and conservation reasons.

15. Limitation of Liability

  • Participation is at the guest’s own risk. Shenron Liveaboard/Dragon Dive Komodo PMA cannot be held responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property, regardless of cause, except in cases of proven gross negligence.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for your booking.

16. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property

  • All prices, offers, and documents shared are confidential and for the recipient’s use only. Photos, logos and text remain the property of Dragon Dive Komodo PMA.

17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

  • These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed under the laws of Indonesia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Labuan Bajo, Komodo, Indonesia.

18. Acceptance of Terms

  • By booking, each guest confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all the above terms and policies, without exception.
