Everything you need to know about diving Komodo with Shenron
Fly to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) airport via:
- From Bali: Multiple daily flights (1.5 hours)
- From Jakarta: 3 daily direct flights
- From Kuala Lumpur: Direct AirAsia flights
- From Singapore: Direct flights coming 2026
We recommend arriving one day before departure. Airport transfers available.
Water temperature: 20-25°C (south), 25-28°C (north)
Visibility: 15-30m depending on location and season
Currents: Can be strong; drift diving experience recommended
Wetsuit: 5mm with hood recommended year-round
Best conditions: April-November for north, December-March for south

Komodo offers excellent diving year-round, but conditions vary:
- December-March: Best for south Komodo, cooler water, mantas, soft corals
- April-June: Transition season, good all-around conditions
- July-August: Peak season, calmer north seas, strong currents
- September-November: Warm water, fewer crowds, mantas return south
Shenron accommodates a maximum of 8 guests in 4 private cabins. This small group size ensures:

We provide tanks, weights, and weight belts. Available for rent:
- Full Scubapro equipment sets

We recommend bringing your own mask, fins, and computer for comfort.
For most routes, we require Open Water certification minimum. However:
- North/Central routes: Open Water OK with 20+ dives
- South Komodo/Alor: Advanced + Nitrox required
- We can provide Advanced and Nitrox training onboard
- Some sites suitable for all levels when conditions permit
